Haze

With no hope, no spark she sings
On crescent moth-drawn wings
Of once title long ago
This you will never know
Still she cries, still she pleas
On time worn weakened knees
Forevermore does she lie
Hopeless so crudely broken are her ties
Silent screams do echo loud
As her Captors, they listen proud
Passing innocently people go
But what does this matter if so?
Ghostly wails haunt her nights frail children receive a fright
Alas this woman could not know
Of which the position she does show
Blood and lust within one word
The town empties, herd by herd
Her captors are all but cruel and feared
Her eyes to frequently teared
Screams rise once again this night
For beautiful she, has lost her sight
By the hand of her captors, whipped and cut
Bleeding eyes forever shut
Still they laugh, still they hunger
Roaring so louder than thunder
Some say of this she deserves
Her bones forcefully recurved
She brought this on herself they say
When she slaughtered all those people that day
