Her Life

When she was little,
She went to play,
Running around in the yard,
Like a good little girl,
Her mother never thought,
She could ever grow old,
But when she did,
She had a smile,
For a while,
As she went into high school,
Her grades had dropped,
She was alone,
And barely ever talked,
She was bullied from the start,
But she kept everything inside her,
She always wore a smile,
Because no one was beside her,
She didn't want people to know,
That inside she was dying,
The slits on her arm,
Were enough to show,
She didn't like to stick out,
So she wore black,
But then came a day,
When she met Zach,
Zach was new,
And he had an interest in her,
This was new,
One day,
Zach found out her secret,
He saw her arms,
She refused to stop,
But Zach new what it was like,
She he tried to help,
She fell in love,
So did Zach,
They were friends,
But then They had a fight,
And didn't talk again,
She kept on cutting,
And so did he,
She went to college,
And became an author,
He read everyone of her books,
When they finally talked,
It was weird at first,
But the kiss was what started it all,
She stopped her pain,
Her heart was filled with happiness,
It was no longer black,
But her life will always be,
What it had been,
On her wedding day,
She cried when she saw him,
She read her vows,
"I love you,
You stopped the pain,
And made everything go away,
I know you'll never leave,
Because you were the one that approached me,"
She now lives happy,
She has three kids,
She writes all the time,
She looked into the people,
Who said she was nothing,
And saw that they weren't happy,
And now she was,
What a funny world this is,
But it seems to be on her side,
So every morning she'll get up,
And thank you for being there,
This was her life.
