Mahogany and Quartz

He has heart of stone
Like hard wood
Mahogany
Wooden scaffolding
On a stone bastion
Hide away in your keep
Made of diamond
Impenetrable
To their knives and sWORDS
Hide away behind a door
A hardwood door
Mahogany
Lay there on his death bed
Though not dying
He lay thinking
Away from the transparent world
He lay thinking his thought
And speaking his word
His hardwood words
Words like stone
Quartz
Shining though dim
His light does not reach
Into the world
It does not move through the stone
Past the hard wood
Through brick
Quartz

But somewhere far from the bastion
Past the
Mahogany
Quartz
There is a forest
Where people live openly
Were no offence is taken
Where the wood of the trees are soft
Yew
