My Paper Cage.
I'm really such a fool,
A cowardly girl, trying to be cool.
But i'm only trying for you.
I'll encase myself in this flimsy shell,
And in my cushioned cocoon, i'll dwell,
Wishing away the fears i can't yet quell.
It'd be so easy to rip and break free,
But i'm afraid, not sure i want to see,
The unknown rolling out infront of me.
Until then i'll muddle along just fine,
Tumbling away the time,
Coiled in this tiny paper cage of mine.
A cowardly girl, trying to be cool.
But i'm only trying for you.
I'll encase myself in this flimsy shell,
And in my cushioned cocoon, i'll dwell,
Wishing away the fears i can't yet quell.
It'd be so easy to rip and break free,
But i'm afraid, not sure i want to see,
The unknown rolling out infront of me.
Until then i'll muddle along just fine,
Tumbling away the time,
Coiled in this tiny paper cage of mine.
