What Makes Me Me

I am from technology
From computers with minds of their own,
To talking alarm clocks singing early in the morning.
(Inspiring the soul
talking to others)
I am from musical tunes,
And bedroom dancing
Leaving the floors shaking in fear
As if they had emotions of their own.

I am from down and dirty.
From swinging and sports
I am from home runs
And 15- love.
From you throw like a girl and get back up.
I’m from campfires reaching up to the stars
With gooey smores
And moments I can always recall.

I am from the many James and Louise,
And nicknames galore.
From embarrassing things inflicted
By others,
Along with the happy well earned.
All freezed in ever hungry books
Both old and new.
Some not know,
But still in my dreams.
I am from all the good and the bad
From before and after me
This is what makes me, me.
