Trapped

I'll admit I haven't felt too well
these past few weeks.
My thoughts can drive me crazy
on days like these.
I want to go away
and never come back,
but I'm cornered and thereis no looking back from here.
From where you've locked me up.

Trapped inside my own head
and there is no place to run.
I want to ask for help
but my voice won't come out.
Reaching out for a friend
but doors slam in my face.

Taking down walls I've built around myself.
Letting people in
to see past the surface.
I want to be myself
and leave my mask behind,
but the fear of breaking free makes me hold back one more time.
