Yesterdays summer

I remember a summer like yesterday
and a fall the day before
But from that track you chose to stray
and took the sun that was yours

I'm left with winter, so wild yet weak
and a snow that won't numb pain
when winter winds decide to speak
they decide to call your name

The fervent chill scars my red rimmed ears
your not here to kiss them better
And through all of my summerless years
my yesterdays dont send me letters

So yes, I remember your hugs like suns
from a summer spent with you
and that stage where life would run
from a season warm and true
