Meadow

Follow me to the meadow.
An occasion we’ll know when we get there.
Just call me your Jeppedo and we can dance together in the starlight.
Come with me tonight.
Into nature. Leave the walls and doors behind.
And climb out your window.
I’ll be waiting.
Ode to the darkness.
It shrouds our history in what only we can see.
You and me.
Friend or family.
One in the same to me.
Love me for everything I’ll pass on to you.
The memories, laughter, smiles, and even the bizarre scenery.
You’ll find me amongst the overgrown grass.
Crawling through flowerbed.
We’ll catch fireflies.
Despite my fear of bugs.
We’ll collect mason jars and eat jam with our hands.
We’ll just live as if, this is what we know.
We’ll forget that we have a second home.
But, for now.
Meet me in the meadow.
For now, lets just go away together.
We’ll understand everything else some other time.
But, for now let’s dance in the moonlight.
