Moving On
Moving On
Eric Berger
Two kindred timelines, previously intertwined,
Now violently diverge, deserted and blind.
What the vast future holds, I haven’t an inkling,
A prospect which (to say the least) is quite startling.
But there’s no need to fret, and there’s no need to moan,
For this universe is a mystery, which excites to the bone.
And who knows what’s ahead, for a guileless, young timeline,
Climbing forward through space-time, the steepest of inclines?
Too good to be true! Some declare with disdain,
Your ideas are saccharine; my life’s just brought pain!
So I’ll tell you a secret, known only to few,
Three simple things, we must all learn to do:
Forgive.
Forget.
Move On.
In forgiving, we achieve mutual peace.
In forgetting, we achieve childlike serenity.
In moving on, we experience all the majesty this life has to offer!

I tried to make this one slightly more uplifting. I hope it shows. :)
