We did Love ...

We loved so passionately once
Like the ocean waves and the beaches
Endlessly caressing each other’s figures
Like the sun and the trees
Radiating light into their lives

We could hold on forever
Never ever growing tired of our shapes
Our hearts never beat out of sync
Our lungs kept both of us alive
Even though sometimes we suffocated

At the end we left broken
Like eggshells cracking and life being destroyed
We were red deep and meaningful
Like the tears we shed afterwards
Crystallizing and branding our souls

We did truly love each other
Like fingers touching skin
Sending signals of the truth trough them
Our eyes never blinded by our desires
The words never escaped our minds
Our souls always felt them though
Like morse codes reaching distant shores

We were angels, demons and everything in between
Like the warm breath of air often separating our lips
Even they loved honestly
Our bodies quarreling from the inside out
To be felt like love
Like and unquenched throbbing thirst for water
