Lonely Butterfly

A blue butterfly sits on the flower that I see.
I wonder what it feels like to be so damn free.
I wonder if this butterfly can wonder just like me.
I wonder if this butterfly wants to fly away, to flee.

A blue butterfly stares at my wondering face.
I wonder if he knows that I'm admiring his grace.
I wonder if he knows that my thoughts are out in space.
I wonder if he knows, like him, that I belong no place.

A blue butterfly listens as I ramble on.
I wonder if he thinks that I am crazy and withdrawn.
I wonder if he regrets that I'm the one he flew upon.
I wonder and I wonder till the sun has set to dawn.

A blue butterfly watches heartbroken as I cry.
I wonder if he too lives a life made out of lies.
I wonder if he too hates himself and wants to die.
I wonder if he too is a lonely butterfly
