These Days

The nights are too long,
And these days drag on,
Crying and bleeding,
Dying and needing.

Your eyes are in mind,
So cold and empty,
Staring and hating,
Glaring and waiting.

These days seem black,
No light to see,
Your hands around my neck,
This relationship's a wreck.

You try to hold on,
To the soul you've taken,
Crying and bleeding,
Dying and needing.

I finally open my eyes,
Broken glass all around me,
I'm staring and hating,
Glaring and waiting.

I rip you apart,
I set myself free,
Pull your hands from my neck,
Our relationship was a wreck.
