That one word seems to feel so right.
Addiction.
Yes that's what I have.
Once was all it took.
Sending my life down hill.
Every dream in my childish mind,
The very gleam in my innocent eyes.
Gone.
My future is an unforgiving blur,
my eyes vacant and scared.
Do me a favor?
When they tell you it's addictive.
Take their word for it.
Because you're no different then the rest.
And when they say "It's on us"
Don't fall for it.
Because after that it's on you.
Over and over again.
And it's on you when you watch you're life,
crumble and burn.
Dreams.
Expectations.
Goals.
Falling faster then it started.
