Through a Bird's eye

Soaring through the soft silk air,
The warm wind blowing my hair back in an Elvis fashion,
Below me are the trees and oceans and rivers galore…
Animals grazing and fish diving
in and out of the waves of the sea.
Not a single sight of Humanity,
Just me, Nature and the water below,
No sign of destruction of the land,
No buildings, cars, trucks or roads.
Just rolling hills, plains, water and wild life,
Before the time of the industries.
Before humans abused their power,
Before humans began destroying this Earth
That they shared with billions of other species.
Not giving any care or remorse for
destroying homes… food… lives of these other beings.
Taking these once free animals… hostile.
Domesticating them… to fit OUR needs.
Overpowering this once heavily populated, diverse, lively planet,
And forcing assimilation to the other defenseless beings…
The Survival of the fittest… at it’s very worst.
Taking no pity on their distant relatives and
Trapping and killing them for their fur and meat…
Sort of…cannibalism.
This once fertile land, once green, majestic, perfect land
… now smog filled… overpowered… collapsing…
like the fall of the Roman Empire.
Killing each other to gain land and supplies…
going against their own genus!
The human race… like a weed… virus… fungus,
Spreading rapidly throughout the world…
Only thinking about… themselves… humans,
“Playing” with the land and animals like dolls…
lifeless demons burning away life, light,
the atmosphere like it’s just a game
all put back together once they get bored.
Not able to grasp reality, the future or beyond themselves.
Not able to think of how it was before…
Like how I saw it…
Soaring through the soft silk air,
The wind blowing my hair back in an Elvis like fashion,
Seeing the billions of species in the field… air… water… ground below…
Grazing… feeding… playing aimlessly…
In the green, crisp grassy plains and rolling hills of endlessness.
The cool, crisp streams, oceans, seas majestically flowing
For millennial.
The perfect world of peace liberty and life,
Unpolluted by anger and despair,
Before, when assimilation was a thing of the future…
Before the powerful beings abused their power…
And destroyed this…
Divine, lively Earth… seen best…
Through a birds eye.
