Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time, there was hope.
A hope for what we believed.
But times got tough, and murdered was love.
The love you had for me.
The damsel in the torn white gown, yes that was me.
I was pretty but inside I hid an ugliness I wouldn't let free.
You were my knight in shinig armor.
Upon that big white horse.
And over time your smile died.
The warmth is what I miss the most.
Remember the time you came around, and I finally let...
You sweep me off my feet, and carry me into the pink sunset.
What about my birthday?
When you got me to sneak out?
I met you by the moonlit lake, and no none figured it out.
The first kiss that we shared.
Made my head spin round.
You held me tight, it felt so right, my feet were off the ground.
But then something happened.
We went a bit too far.
And suddenly you strayed from me, and later broke my heart.
I've learned a valuable lesson.
On how much I give away.
I'm sorry but I can't afford, to be hurt like that again someday.
