Before I Break
Say hello,
I’ll reply,
Simple greetings,
Followed by sighs,
Sighs of sorrow,
That say more than words,
I’m scared to speak,
Who knows what I might say,
Something odd,
Something strange,
Truth is I never change.
I hope to tell you,
Before I break,
The way I feel,
About the moves you make,
You tease with touch,
And joke with words,
Which is truth?
Am I yours,
Was I ever,
Does it even really matter?
Questions go unanswered,
Leaving me to my thoughts,
The possibilities,
Of you and me.
I’ll reply,
Simple greetings,
Followed by sighs,
Sighs of sorrow,
That say more than words,
I’m scared to speak,
Who knows what I might say,
Something odd,
Something strange,
Truth is I never change.
I hope to tell you,
Before I break,
The way I feel,
About the moves you make,
You tease with touch,
And joke with words,
Which is truth?
Am I yours,
Was I ever,
Does it even really matter?
Questions go unanswered,
Leaving me to my thoughts,
The possibilities,
Of you and me.

I'm not really a poet, but I wrote this a while ago and I really like it. So I thought I'd share.
