Confusing Mistakes

I was infatuated with you
And you with I
It was blissful
But always forbidden

Suddenly you became distant
It seemed you were out of my reach
In your absence my affection for you swayed
Without knowing why, you broke it off

Months later you cautiously approached me
Claiming that you missed me and made a mistake
At the time my emotions confused me
