I wish

I wish to change the world
To make a new
From all the chaos that has been whirled
And the innocents that were broken in two
I wish for love
And a symbol of peace
Just like a dove
The desire for our wars to cease
But nobody hears
What we have to say
They’re too busy hiding from fears
And letting come what may
I wish for joy
A rain of light
Instead of hate and destroy
Happiness will burn bright
Like a child’s heart
So accepting and kind
To them, life is like abstract art
No longer will we be confined
