Destruction of the Innocent Life

Scurry little rodents,
Scurry to your tunnels.
The sound storm is here,
Huddle together in fear.

Fly little birds,
Fly to your nests,
The shaky crashing doom is near,
Squawk and squeal for all to hear.

Swim little fish,
Swim against the current.
The oily death makes the river unclear,
The sight of fins splashing far and near.

Flee all creatures,
Flee to your homes.
Flashing tails of the whitetail deer,
Years of life wiped away with a smear.

This is the last deforestation of the year.

Deforestation really gets to me. We have ENOUGH room for ourselves right now and there are plenty of spaces that can be used for housing where it won't hurt the wildlife. In my opinion it is careless to destroy the Earth's jungles and forests just to build more Mc Donald’s and stupid stuff like that. Those animals are innocent and I can only imagine the great fear that strikes them when a bulldozer tears through their home for no apparent or understandable reason. We as inhabitants of this beautiful world need to be more cautious with how we shape it. We need those natural resources and those animals call it their home. How would we feel if someone took a bull dozer to our houses and we lost everything just so they could expand? It's careless and we can be better.
