Catharsis
I cannot say what I feel, I cannot cry,
I cannot leave, nor say goodbye,
I am tied down, I will never fly.
I cannot reminisce, nor remember bliss,
I cannot stop, poison was in my first kiss,
I am a loser, I cannot even count the things I miss.
I cannot win, nor can I stay,
I cannot run, I cannot hide today,
I am lost in myself, I go my own way.
I cannot live like this, so aimless and lost,
I cannot continue, there’s too great a cost,
I am frigid; I feel winter’s emotional biting frost.
I cannot sing, not one solemn hymn,
I cannot speak, my emotional light is growing dim,
I am a shadow, darkness filling me up to the brim.
I cannot leave, nor say goodbye,
I am tied down, I will never fly.
I cannot reminisce, nor remember bliss,
I cannot stop, poison was in my first kiss,
I am a loser, I cannot even count the things I miss.
I cannot win, nor can I stay,
I cannot run, I cannot hide today,
I am lost in myself, I go my own way.
I cannot live like this, so aimless and lost,
I cannot continue, there’s too great a cost,
I am frigid; I feel winter’s emotional biting frost.
I cannot sing, not one solemn hymn,
I cannot speak, my emotional light is growing dim,
I am a shadow, darkness filling me up to the brim.
