Alpha & Omega
Birds of a feather fly together.
But a broken wing, leads to unlit streets.
We gleam in the sun.
Heartbeat unison.
Each feather, each cry,
Shared as one.
Silver wind,
Our foe.
United we dance,
The earth a sighing landmark.
But what happens when;
Winds change.
We're ripped away,
Down-spiraling into darkness.
Search and try,
To fly again.
A pretty pair now,
A broken duet.
On broken wings he flies.
Falling behind.
Further, faster.
Distant speck in the sky.
Halfhearted fight.
Shadowed descent.
Broken hearted he cries.
Lost once again.
Birds of a feather fly together.
But a shattered heart leads to loneliness.
But a broken wing, leads to unlit streets.
We gleam in the sun.
