This Deep Pain

Can’t you see,
This depressing face,
That walks through the halls,
Lonely and out of place,

She holds back the pain,
She feels inside,
For she doesn’t want you to
See her cry.

When you hug her tight,
She holds back the tears,
Tries to remember those happy years,
When her mind wondered free,
All she wishes if you just let her be.

She prays to be strong,
So she doesn’t cry,
When you come to say goodbye.
