Through the Isles

Through the Isles

Roads of produce, cans, and the frozen
Kept in bags, and packs by the dozen
Paper or plastic?
Pick from the top please not the bottom
Tumbling apples? Yes yes quite drastic
Busy parents, rushing cashiers
Buying food?
That can’t last for more than two years
…It’s a lie.
The long lines, bulging carts
Children throwing tantrums over candy and tarts
Through the isles there is one thing
You possibly cannot buy
The love of one’s heart
My oh my… hot topic
There is no stock of luck, charms or potions
They aren’t in storage
There are no such notions
Yes yes tis so tis very very true
Let this be some kind advice from me to you
Love cannot be stolen
Love cannot be broken
It can be hidden and bonded
So keep your love as a token
Your love is yours
And that factor will remain the same
Through time and space
In everyplace
That you go
Use you love wisely
Because it can always be forgotten
But through the isles
We walk
Searching for the one thing to love
And hopefully receive love in return
