How To Kill An Angel

The Angel wrapped him in her wings
Into his ear she softly sings
Telling him of all her love
And other pure endearing things.

Though her voice was like a dove
Her fondness, he grew tired of
Because there was another girl
He thought more than the whole world of

The Angel sighed and with a twirl
Her wings from him she did unfurl
He seemed unmoved when she let go
And went to meet his sweet seed pearl

The Angel wept, so full of woe
As she watched them down below
She hurt and knew she'd been rejected
It made her weak from head to toe

Over time she became infected
Soon after, hateful rage erected
Later transformed, no longer was she
The avatar of beauty perfected

Cruelty stung her like a bee
She knew the boy would not foresee
The gruesome way he would depart
He and his beautiful bride to be

Once their bodies were torn apart
She smiled down to her work of art
She wrapped up in her bloody wings
And died that night of a broken heart
