Beast Inside

The beast inside me has been caged
always growling, but never fed
rattling the bars howling in confusion empty now for months
the beast once fed will expand and grow
into something bulging, round, and disgusting.
One day, someday, hopefully soon
the beast will be tamed
silent for eternity, never to growl again.
