Locked in the Music Box

The clock is ticking on the wall again.
"We're running out of time", it screams.
The sounds I am able to hear from the world outside,
They are driving me insane.
So close yet always too far for me to reach.
This darkness surrounding me,
Why am I always so scared?
I have been given a pair of eyes,
But I am unable to see,
This is how it will always be.
You played with my heart,
Seduced a young and innocent child.
I can always stare at the scars.
Hopelessly I fell in love that wasn't easy and mild.
You were untamed and wild.
"Dangerous, dangerous", those voices whisper.
You showed me a place to rest my soul and sleep,
You drugged me and closed in a world where no one sees.
I shouldn't even know that you no longer have the keys.
You played with the unknown.

Every night I can hear the song.
I obey voicelessly and dance along.
Then I am locked up again and again.
My pillows are made of the hardest rocks.
The world cannot see;
You locked me in your music box.
