Different Realities

A change of scenery
Voices too loud
Distracted eyes
Never focusing around

Reality is fictional
Because it’s overrated
Sometimes it gets too much
You need a getaway

The meaning of your life
Is different than mine
You think I’m ignorant
Perhaps you’re right

But it’s the way I am
The way I turned to be
I won’t waste my breath
Apologizing for it

I’m a person of words
You’re one of feelings
Though I can write of the big words
I don’t understand their meaning
