Wish of the Midnight Hour

I've fallen for your graces, but have yet to see your face
And so I'm left in longing, wishing in the night
That just once I could reach into the darkness and pull you lips to mine
That in the midnight hour, our souls would bask in light

I dream of holding you, but I awake and you are gone
I wish that I would once awake to find you by my side
To wrap my arms around you, and hold you close to me
And let our bodies mingle, and our hearts confide

This Christmas season I have asked for things
But what I wish for most isn't on my list
For you can't be wrapped or bought or sold
What you are, (name): you are loved and missed
