Pity

It is said that you cannot help a person who does not want to be helped but what if they need the help?

Self-pity is a sad thing
Why feel sorry for yourself when many others are going through tougher times.
poverty abuse disease and more, but yet you are contemplating something unnecessary
for a pain that will ride over

Let's stop.
Let's pause and look at our own reflections

Look into your own eyes and tell me...

Are you proud of what you see.
Are you proud of what you've become?

For many that answer is no.

Now again. Let's stop.
Before you blame society or a person that torments you look back on all that you've done

We cannot blame anyone else for our faults. We first have to point the finger at ourselves.

Before you blame your weight, lack of a thigh gap, or sexuality, stop.

Stop and look at yourself.
Are you the cause of your own sorrow?
How do you treat people?
Are you respectful?
Again that answer is probably no.

I know it's hard to trust people especially when you've trusted in the past.

Stop assuming that everyone is our to get you.
Not everyone has intentions of making you feel bad.

Sometimes the opinions handed to you are for your own health and well being.

Self-pity and self loathing get us no where in life. What you have to do is get a hold of yourself, stop feeling sorry for yourself and get a grasp.

Start making a life that you're proud of and stop letting others bring you down.

Take the advice that's given to you and appreciate the ones that hand it to you.

You never know. One wrong move could make you lose them forever...

Hello everyone. I wrote this in school about someone. Most of the poems are about different people. We're gonna call this character...Richard. These are my thoughts on Richard. One can only take so much. Like stated you can't help a person unless they truly want to be helped. I'm here to help not here to feel sorry for you.
