Sleep
I feel it creeping up my spine
Seeping into my mind
Pouring into my eyelids
Making them heavy
And just
Ever so slightly
Painful
All day long I wait
Hours pass
Night falls
And I can't shut my eyes
Sleep will not come easily tonight
And tomorrow
Of course
Will kill me
