A Plague Gives. A Plague Takes

February 9th 1981
Huntington Beach California
Where it all began
The birth of a boy, who would grow
To be a man
Still so young, it seemed your career had just begun
I wish it was Fiction
But, the Doc made his prediction
Never make it past thirty
On December 28th 2009
You left us, far too early
The morning after, there was no hint of laughter
Amongst friends and family
The Victims, of a crime
They shared their stories, tear filled memories
Recalling your final years
As they cried, for the son
That was Lost
The brother, taken
The music world, was shaken
Five years have passed, and you're So Far Away
There's not a day
That goes by, I don't think of you
Though I never knew you
I wish I had, I would've been glad
To have called you friend, to have been there with you
Until The End
But, I know
You're in a better place
Somewhere, in the Afterlife
With a smile on your face
Drumstick in hand, watching your brothers
As they work to keep your memory alive
FoREVer
It's hard for them
But they're strong
And I know, it won't be long
Till they're with you, in that Little Piece Of Heaven
Till then
If you could, would you tell Syn
It'd be nice, to see him smile again
And tell Arin, he's doin' great
Even if some people disagree, he's all right by me
I just wanna end this by saying
I love you, I miss you
And I promise, as soon as I'm done
With this Wild Ride
I'll be on my way, to meet you
On the other side
