Emotions blurred and numbed
Forgot I had them, only the fake ones would hold on
Temperature falls and then rises
My heart strings take a half beat rest
Rainbow fluid noise whisks through my veins
Lightening speed, fueled by my ego
A mask that has starred exists stage left
my real eyes take center

Life is meant to be fought for; to climb a mountain is to show the world who you really are

For those who lay belly up, swallowed by the snow, blaming the mountain for their sorrows

For those who never thought of trying, who are content living life in grays and whites
I have seen the royal blues and exploding purples of the mountain sky
Felt the battle of the swift wind winding through the snow caps of the universe
I am a fighter, I am a strong soul
In spirit, mind, and heart
I am living the life of a bear

I had found myself facing a plateau in my life and began losing track of who I really was and where I was going. "The bell tolls for thee!" is a quote from the song I was listening to called Losing It by Rush, proclaiming that the voices who pity you will ring out for those willing to listen.The spirit animal I envision myself as is the bear, seen often as a symbol of strength, introspection, knowledge, and dreams. I have always identified myself with this animal and it has become a large part of who I am.
After my journey with acid, I feel freedom again, freedom to go for every opportunity the day has to offer and the spirit and drive to continue with it. I love life again.
