Before I Say Goodbye

I've learned not to make plans when I'm happy,
Because every time I get a fool made out of me.
I learned to write poetic lines when I'm sad,
Because I guess there is beauty in losing all the hope I had.
I learned that life doesn't slow or stop,
And I'll never end up on top.
I learned that I can't feel any worse than I feel right now,
This is killing me but I'm not sure how.
I learned that we all have to die,
But that fact doesn't bring a tear to my eye.
I learned that you can't trust anyone,
It doesn't matter what they've said or done.
I learned that sometimes you have to let go,
You made things better I hope you know.
I learned that the silver edge stains,
But what's that matter when nothing of me remains.

But like always every word was a lie,
So this is my last poem before I say goodbye.

Wrote this because I found out the girl I really liked was lying to me.
