It Will All Pass In Time

I sit and wait,
Watching the clouds as they gather momentum,
‘Just be patient’ you tell me,
‘It will all pass in time’

The clouds grow darker,
The humidity rises,
‘Just be patient’ you tell me,
‘It will all pass in time’

Not all clouds dissipate,
They grow, and linger
Until all the air gets choked away
And I’m left with nothing,
Not even the air I breathe

‘Patience is a virtue,
You will learn this in time’
Time isn’t my friend anymore
It was stolen long ago

It was taken swiftly,
Just like my hope,
There’s nothing left,
But emptiness and hate

I sit and wait,
Watching the clouds as they grow darker,
‘Just be patient’ you tell me
‘It will all pass in time’
