Why are you hiding from the bright lights?
You’re already preparing for your fall,
Why are you saying you stayed up all night?
You never sleep when the night calls,
Why are you braving the inevitable break?
When you could be living instead,
Why are you saying it’s too much to take?
When you’re already getting ahead.
Broken bones fill your floor,
Sinister snakes are at your door,
Ready to take all that you own,
You’ll wish to finally be alone,
They call your name louder,
They notice as you scarcely cower,
And you think they’re done with you,
I’m so sorry; you don’t have a clue.
Why are you making out that it’s your choice?
Now all you have to do is wait for this,
Please don’t be afraid now, let out your voice,
Carelessly take in all of this sweet bliss,
What are you doing? Why are you running?
There are no more reasons to be afraid,
There’s no one here who’s even slightly cunning,
There’s nothing to fear, for hope won’t fade.
Threatening thunder screams tonight,
Though you’re too calm to feel any fright,
Go watch them burn and there you laugh,
Whilst they perish under the demons’ wrath,
Surreal storms begin to violently roar,
She’s scared right to her deepest core,
Yet you still laugh, whilst she bleeds,
And you like to think you can succeed.
Hope hopes for a home so warm,
Yet you believe that all is calm,
Watch her shiver whilst you smile,
Watch as she cries all the while.
Hoping for love that will last,
See her remember her past,
She recalls the darkness; she cries,
She cries tears no one denies.
Where are the doves that can really fly?
I wonder if you still care now,
For you are safe, whilst she fears the sky,
Can’t you save her somehow?
Can’t you keep her wings from breaking again?
Won’t you save her; you’re her only friend?
I wonder if you think of her, whilst she cries in pain,
I wish you’d realise that soon it’ll be her end.
You promised that you’d stay by her, yes?
You told her you loved her like gold,
Yet here she fights, always trying her best,
However, to you it’s nothing but old.

Thought I'd just post it because I needed to write something after a WHOLE day of school and that includes MATHS... I know, pretty bad, but to be honest I don't mind Maths normally, but we have this supply at the moment and it's like NO! ... But I hope this worked anyway :)
