All About Me

It's my business who you see
You know it's all about me
Don't try and cover up because I know what you do
I'd deny it but I do it too
Close your eyes and count to three
When you open them I'll be out of sight
Does it really matter who's wrong and who's right?
Any fight is a good fight
I don't care about your safety and I don't care about peace
Don't show me proof because I won't listen
I like it when the tears roll down your cheeks, how they glisten
Your baby isn't here to protect you, now is he?
I don't know why my actions shock you, we're all this way
Is it terribly lonely with no one to talk to?
I wouldn't know, now would I?
Go ahead, anomality, go ahead and cry
I'm brimming with selfishness and I won't mind if you die
It's how I've been brought up, if you're wondering why
It's the instilled urge to try
To try and cover up, that's all I do these days
Desperately buying attire that's part of the latest fashion craze
Mocking the nonconformists, the ones who can think
Do you think we care if your will to live is on the brink?
Into the crowd you always sink
When you see me, but it's no use
I'll always find you, I'll always let loose
Covering my ears and ignoring the truth
It's all I've ever known,
What to do when the seeds of my youth have already been sown?
If your parents knew, would you be disowned?
I would, that's why I wear this mask
Hiding the truth written all over my face
I'm afraid of who I am and I'm not afraid to admit it
I do what I can to get by, to survive, who cares if I'm a hypocrite?
I need this sense of comfort, of security
I don't know how to escape this pain because there's only one book I read
They'll follow me when I lead
Harassing you, next we'll leave you to sob and seethe
I say what I want and I do as I please
Unless it upsets the public, for them and the imaginary man I'm on my knees
It's my business who you see
Don't forget, it's all about me
