1:11 AM

Sometimes, you won’t even come to sleep.
There’s a darkness inside you that you keep
Buried, somewhere deep.

Opportunity knocks, yet you withdraw
It’s such a small yet violent, fatal flaw
Where do you fall?

Is it a possibility that you are lost
Somewhere within the living costs
Tempers being tossed?

Is there a depth farther in than you show?
Isn’t there a smallest, final glow
What do you even know?

I found a smile, but it’s far from you
Slowly working, and becoming true
For I can escape you soon.

What can you see beyond tomorrow
Are you buried in that pathetic sorrow
You reap what you sow.

What can you say that makes it feel fixed
Despite what you promise, or the lies of “I wish…”
Feelings are mixed…

But not enough to make it go away, right?
You’ll always be lost, you’ll never lose the fight
Out of mind, out of sight…

It’s the sound of quiet, yet I am awake
And I’ll laugh if you talk, but we both know it’s fake
Count the breaths I take..

Soon the silence will awaken you too…
Show you the bitter or the beauty in what’s true…
And yet I will be, away from you.
