Undesirable

He has a love for this girl, a love that is hungry with lust.

So much passion, so many cravings, yet it is a love that I can’t grasp.

I’m not envious, well, maybe just a little, it’s just…

He’s all about her, more than me, he craves her lust,

Not mine. If I were her I’d keep his love, I wouldn’t gasp.

It seems as if my love isn’t good enough,

So she must be special, but I can’t see how; it’s something I can’t grasp.

He’ll look into her eyes and see the world, moon, and stars.

So many waves of color, so much passion, yet it is a love I can’t have.

I’m a bit curious, maybe envious, but he strums her like a guitar,

He’s all about her, his new sky, moon and shining stars,

But the lust he craves leaves me with terrible scars,

As if he’s left me for her, my heart aches as it stabs,

Leaving me screaming in the night, into the stars,

Why don’t you yearn for me, why can’t I have this love?

We have all felt unwanted, unloved, and not good enough at some point in time... especially with the one we loved most.
