At Last

Losing my mind,
Losing time,
The clock tick
Tick
Ticks...
It's 2 36.
The bang of a door,
The rustle of the wind,
Is it all in my head?
Where does reality begin...
The world fades from view,
I begin to sleep,
Then shudder awake
From a terrible dream.
Losing my mind,
Falling behind,
The clock still ticks,
But I'm out of tricks.
My time is up,
The voices, I hear them,
Whispering my name,
Calling me near them.
The rain falls harder
Against the window pane,
I listen to the pidder padder,
Hoping to drain
Out the voices
That call my name.
Calling me further
Into the dark,
Calling me towards
A past I thought I forgot.
One with blood,
And wishes for death,
A soul that wishes
To be put to rest.
Lost my mind,
Lost all time,
The clock no longer ticks.
The voices now scream,
I continue to walk,
No longer in control,
Just wanting everything to stop..
I pushed away the curtain
And jumped through the glass,
Happy for the peace
And quiet at last.
