Atropos Strain

It weeps for the Sun
Fading in the 'rizon
Darkness creeps in,
Shadows lengthen

A heart beats in the dark
Beating, throbbing, fading
It bleeds
Darkness fades to red.

Blood cloaks her body
Sleek, and bright, and bold
She marches in the shadows
A red star in the blankets of night

Slumbering under thick covers
Of stars, moons and planets
Bright fingers stroke his hair
He dreams. Of castles and of battles.

Kings raise their blades
Songs of swords ring in the night
Stars weep their deaths
They weep for the Sun.
