Loneliness

All alone, a creature of the dark cries for love in desperation.
Yet, no one answers the call.
His sobbing is audible.
I hear it now, the weeping saddens me.
He hides from me, I cannot find him.
He hides in a graveyard as I search.
He sobs so loudly.
I finally find him behind a grave.
Tears are visible on his face.
I wipe them away and look at him.
He is half deformed, but handsome.
No one can stand to look at him.
I comfort him and ask:
“Why are you crying?”
“I am lonely, no one will ever love me,” he replies desperately.
“But you are not alone, I am here.”
“You cannot stand to look at me.”
“I can look at you, come with me.
You are a pitiful, lonely creature.”
And he leaves with me…
So does his loneliness…
