I Can’t Breathe

You got angry, mad at me.
You came up and began to strangle me.
I couldn’t breathe, I got scared.
I thought I would die.
I knew your violence before this.
You met me daily with your fist.
But now I can’t breathe, you’re choking me!
Never knew it would get to this point.
Wanted to kick you, punch you, even kill.
But it was not of my will.
I let you go for now.
Then I wised up the next day.
I told people, and now I’m pressing charges.
It is for your own good.
Now from this experience I have learned.
I have no guilt for what I’ve done.
You have done it all, I’m the victim.
You are the perpetrator.
