A Soldiers Plea

We’re standing on a hillside
Watching the smoke and fire clear
We really hope that no one’s died
That’s our biggest fear

We don’t want to have to go to Iraq
No one should have to fight!
We all knew people who hasn’t came back
People back home saying, its alright.

No one hears the bombs drop
And the shrapnel explode
You’re mind is at a loss
When your out here on your own.

Please send us home
we hate being out here on our own.
We just want to go home

We’ve lived the last few months in fear
Living in dirt and in sand
No body back home, sees our tears
Please let us leave this land.

Not all of us are going to go home
Some of us still will be here
Others still left on their own
Living their time in fear.

When that order comes through
We all loose faith in god
No body knows what to do
So much for people with love

Please send us home
we hate being out here on our own.
We just want to go home

Please send us home
we hate being out here on our own.
We just want to go home
