The Fabric of Reality

The fabric of your reality tears slowly apart
You reach into your chest and pull out your beating heart
The blood gushes all over your hand
And leaks onto the pure white sand
It tears more and more and you wish for a needle and thread
The voices are so loud inside your head
Your grip and tear at you hair
Wishing that you would uproots some sanity there
You scream but no one can hear you make a sound
You let your body fall dead to the ground
Griping and grasping and gasping for air
Trying to hold on to a reality that was never really there
Delude by pictures the world has painted for you
Looking up at a blood red sky that used to look blue
Trying to figure out to find a way back
But you can't because it is strength that you lack
You dig your nails under your own skin
To be lied to like this should be a sin
Biting your lips so hard that you taste your own blood
It seeps out around you like you're lying in mud
You reach for the wool to cover your own eyes
You wanted to be cover again with the lies
So you watch the fabric fall apart
While holding on tight to your beating heart
