Mother's Harsh Words
She called me mediocre,
Just an ordinary girl,
Plain and simple,
No real need in the world.
She says I frustrate her,
That I’m aggravating,
Annoying,
Irritating to death.
I’m apparently programmed wrong,
In a way made to fail,
That I’ll never succeed,
They made me wrong.
Never to comprehend,
That the words she says wound,
She continues her brutal torture,
Makes my life a living hell.
The average girl,
Frustrating and plain,
Will inform her of her mistakes,
She will not be scarred,
By her mother’s harsh words.
