So What?

I fell up a hill once,
And the sky was under my feet
And the grass was so green on my face.

Then I came down to
Facts like “I can’t stand up next to you”
Or “My sunglasses broke yesterday.”
Or “Something always ends this way.”

I made a guitar yesterday
Out of lyrics and songs.
And you looked at it
Kind of over and up
And it fell apart so far down.

But now I’m lost,
Lost by sound.
I don’t know what I should do
‘Cause the only one who can’t find me is you.

You never know what to say
When you’re a mirror you talk back to you
You don’t know what to call what you got
But what every it is, it’s so fair, if you could just find.

But a fine is a fine is a money packet
Shoved in your pocket after a fine nights time
With your friends those knights
Who party and fly and have a fun time.

Now it’s broken glass
So I have to watch my step.
You’re cut, you’re bleeding,
But where are you?
