Ever and after, my love

I place a blue crackling
witch-lamp
ever to light the twisting ivy
under which
is her hair,
which had never seen
sunlight,
and stretches
to infinity
in dark
matter,
and the
closed-door
absence
of
promises.

One long breath I hold forever for
you, love,

I whisper as
the dagger flashes,
and hear
a sweet sound of the last minute of my life
ticking away,
forever 1 second, counted by
the peaceful red flower that is
my blood, gone, surrendered.
All yours now.
And I see an age,
terrible and wonderful,
the sheer air of atoms’ absence
on a great and beautiful cliff,
and the dawn---oh,
I stare in amazement
and clutch my last and only smile
to memory, forever.

Sea-bird specks
dance absently behind me.
My eyes want to give,
everything—
blue, racing
in a dizzying pairing dance
with the beautiful
dissecting fluff-trees.
the sky scrutinizes me
closely—
See you.
Molecule,
hair, drop of blood on jacket
warm—brown—
jeans—eyes—
cry—hour ago
running shoes,
Are you running from me?

No answer.
It continues, panicked,
Heartbeat, 257 eyelashes,
faded contacts,
shoelaces
are falling apart,
look, a disorderly
quark.
