These Years

Laying in the grass
Playing dizzy dollys
We fall to the ground
Fits of laughter
Climbing over walls
Crawling through bushes
Running from the farmer
Jumping for joy as we push the limits
These years I missed
So I live them now
Coming home with grass stains
Because she wouldn’t let go
Sitting on the swing
So low to the ground
Falling down
Grazing knees
Climbing over the bar
I’m too tall to crawl under
Rolling down the hill
Losing ourselves in the fun
These times I’ll take for granted
But I’ll never forget one
What should be childhood memories
Will be the teen years
Going to partys
Getting drunk
Falling off the trampoline
Can feel no pain at all
Telling strangers you love them
Kising anyone you can
Sitting on the legs
Of the girl that doesnt want to leave
Pilling on friends
Shouting ‘catch me’
When going down the slide
Taking pictures
To post on myspace
Pose for the camera
Lose yourself in the music
Blasting in your ears
Singing in the worst voice
But who cares anyway
Disobeying rules
Because you love your fasion
Counting up the times
That boy has smiled at you
Living life as it comes
Savour every breath
Rock out at Church
Wear odd shoe laces
Steal all the covers
Scream at the bugs
Jump on friends
Despite what people say
Say thanks for what you have
Espechially the insults
Give them a smile
Just to piss them off
Stnd on your tippy toes
Try to touch the sky
Watch the stars at night
Time passing you by
Never forget these years
You’ll never get them back
They are the best
With the best of friends
Make the most of what you’ve got
Dont let it get away
Let yourself go
Dont be scared
Be unashamed!
