Pale skin-
Sweat crystals play-
Nervous lives-
You’re stalling time.

Barred by steal-
Barred by values-
Walking in a line-
Saluting generals-
You’re playing in their game.

Deaf ears-
Deaf hearts-
Shaking hands clenched-
Nodding heads-
You’re giving the okay.

I don’t expect a realization-
Your send off would confund anyone!
I hear silent hope drifting to me-
