Don't Sew It Up

Let the threads unravel and reveal what’s underneath
There’s no need to sew it up inside

And discard all the good that lies beneath
Don’t pin away your history

Or tuck away your dreams
Live as if you’re dying

Don’t worry about all the tattered seams
Don’t go and knit at all your little imperfections

Just look past them
and cut out all the stupid objections

Forget about the bad and use your inner shears
Iron out your problems

And steam away the fears
Try to embroider aspirations into your soul

If you do that it’s a start to help fill
That empty hole
